Ruben Ostlund, a famous Swedish filmmaker, was chosen as the head of the jury of the 76th Cannes Film Festival.

According to the writings of Screen Daily, Ruben Ostlund, who won two Cannes Golden Palms last year for the second time with the movie “Triangle of Sorrow”, is now moving forward and is going to be the head of the jury of the 76th Cannes Film Festival.

This movie was a joint product of the Turkish Radio and Television Company and this year it was nominated for an Oscar in the best film, best director and best non-adaptive screenplay categories, but it only won the best film award at the Cannes Film Festival. Cinema competed and won awards from other festivals as well.

He had won this award earlier with the movie “Square”. Also, in 2017, this film was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film in the 90th Skarnese Awards.

After Ingrid Bergman, who was the first Swedish head of the Cannes Jury in 1973, Ostlund is the second Swedish filmmaker to hold this position.
